SPARTANBURG, S.C.-- Senior Ana Cubillo Garcia led the Panthers to a 17th place finish at the USC-Upstate Invitational on Saturday morning. 

Cubillo clocked a season-best 19:35.6 time to lead the Panthers in the 5k.

Following closely behind was Graduate student-athlete Shannon Cook, who recorded a personal-best 20:11.4 time, knocking nearly a minute off of her previous personal-best 5k time. 

London Cox followed, clocking a personal-best 20:38.6 time. The freshman knocked off 45 seconds from her first 5k race. 

Charlotte Tooze finished the race with a personal-best 20:52.5 time, and Zariah Jacobs secure a personal-best 21:53.7 to knock off over two minutes from her personal-best 5k time. 

MEET NOTES: 
- Paxton Kirby finished with a 21:09.0 time. 
- Sessen Mahari finished with a 25:15.3 time. 

The Panthers head to Foley, Ala. to compete in the Sun Belt Championship meet on Friday, Oct. 31.
