100 Days Before Kickoff, First Four Game Times Announced

ATLANTA -- Coming off back-to-back bowl victories and a school-record eight wins in 2021, Georgia State opens the 2022 football season in exactly 100 days on Saturday, Sept. 3, when the Panthers play at South Carolina at 7:30 p.m. at Williams-Brice Stadium. The game will air on ESPN+/SECN+.

Georgia State football's home opener against North Carolina is one week later, on Saturday, Sept. 10. Kickoff at Center Parc Stadium is set for 12 noon, and the game will be nationally televised on ESPNU, one of at least three national TV exposures for the Panthers in 2022.

The game against UNC--the first Power 5 conference team to play at Center Parc Stadium--kicks off three straight home games for the Panthers, who host Charlotte on Saturday, Sept. 17 under the lights in a 7 p.m. game on ESPN+.

Five days later, GSU opens Sun Belt Conference play by hosting Coastal Carolina in a nationally-televised, Thursday night game at Center Parc Stadium. Kickoff is 7:30 p.m. on ESPNU.

That is the first of two nationally-televised, weeknight games for the Panthers, who will also play at Appalachian State on Wednesday, Oct. 19 at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN2.

ESPN and the Sun Belt Conference announced kickoff times and television coverage for the first three weeks of the 2022 season as well as the previously announced weeknight games. All remaining game times and television networks will be announced during the season, 12 days prior to each game.

Georgia State's home schedule also includes Georgia Southern on Oct. 8, new Sun Belt member Old Dominion for Homecoming on Oct. 29 and ULM for Senior Day on Nov. 12.
