Carroll is Center Parc Credit Union Student-Athlete of the Week

Georgia State running back Marcus Carroll is the Center Parc Credit Union Student-Athlete of the Week after leading the Panthers to a 42-14 victory at Southern Miss.

In his first career start, Carroll rushed for a career-high 163 yards and tied the GSU record with three rushing touchdowns to help Georgia State to its fourth win in the last five games.

Carroll averaged 6.8 yards per carry to produce the fourth-best single-game rushing total in GSU history.

Facing a Southern Miss defense that ranked No. 17 in FBS in run defense, Carroll helped the Panthers put up 388 rushing yards, the third-highest single-game total in program history.

Carroll and the Panthers play their final home game of the season Saturday as ULM visits for Senior Day in a 1 p.m. kickoff at Center Parc Stadium.
