Tolivert, Dublin Set Career-Highs at FAMU

Box Score TALLAHASSEE – Mikyla Tolivert and Jenae Dublin set career-highs in points as Georgia State fell to Florida A&M 65-57 at the Alfred Lawson, Jr. Multipurpose Center Tuesday afternoon.

Tolivert led all Panthers with 19 points, topping her previous high of 16 set against Florida State Sunday afternoon.  The Melbourne, Fla., native shot 7-of-13 from the field, and made all five of her free-throw attempts while grabbing four rebounds.

Dublin finished with 16 points, topping her previous high of 15 set at Iona in her freshman year and 12 points as a Panther in the home opener against Agnes Scott. The junior from Suitland, Md. shot 5-of-11 and 2-of-3 from three-point range led GSU with six rebounds and three steals.

Trailing by eight, GSU outscored Florida A&M 19-9 in the second to take a 30-28 lead into halftime.  But the Rattlers outscored GSU 14-10 in the third to take the lead for good, and 23-17 in the fourth to pull away.

The Panthers will return home to face Winthrop on Monday, November 21 at the GSU Convocation Center.  Tipoff is at 6:30 p.m.
