QUICK NOTES
•    Georgia State closes out the regular season with home games Friday and Saturday at 6 p.m. and 2 p.m. vs. South Alabama on ESPN+. Friday's game will be GSU's annual Pink Game and Saturday will be Senior Day in the GSU Sports Arena.
•    The Panthers snapped a three-game losing streak Tuesday with a 73-68 win over Coastal Carolina. Taniyah Worth scored double digits for the second game in a row to lead GSU.
•    South Alabama currently holds the No. 2 seed in the East Division for next week's Sun Belt Tournament. Georgia State could overtake the Jaguars with a weekend sweep. 
•    Georgia State's defense ranks second in the Sun Belt and 26th in the NCAA D-1with 93 blocks this season. Hannah Sadler's 1.3 blocks/game rank third in the conference.
•    GSU ranks second in the Sun Belt in 3FG defense, holding opponents to just 28.1% shooting from deep. The Panthers also average 9.1 steals per game, third most in the Sun Belt.
•    The Panthers were one of the youngest teams in D-I last season with six freshmen averaging at least 10 minutes per game. All six freshmen return this season.
•    GSU has five newcomers this season. Taniyah Worth (Alabama) and Hannah Sadler (Old Dominion) both sat out last year due to transfer rules. Elexus Bell came to GSU from Southern Union State CC in Alabama, Deasia Merrill joins GSU after sitting out last season at Kentucky, and Ciara Smith is the lone freshman on the squad.
•    Taylor Hosendove led the team in scoring and rebounding last season and was named to the 2020-21 Preseason All-Sun Belt Second Team.
•    Head coach Gene Hill is in his third season at Georgia State. Hill was previously an assistant at N.C. State and was an assistant at Georgia Tech from 2009-12.
•    Of GSU's 14 players, 10 played their prep ball in the state of Georgia. Henderson and Taylor are both from Alabama, Joelle Johnson is from Louisville, Ky., and Kam Dziak calls Amherst, Ohio home.
