ATLANTA – Playing its fourth straight game against a nationally-ranked opponent, Georgia State fell 6-2 to No. 7 Georgia Wednesday afternoon at the GSU Baseball Complex.

Kalen Puckett drove in both runs for the Panthers (2-3) with a squeeze bunt and a sacrifice fly. He also had a double off the left field wall in the first inning.
GSU entered the ninth inning trailing 4-2 before the Bulldogs added two runs in the top of the frame.
Georgia (4-1) got two-run homers from Corey Collins and Riley King, and four Bulldog pitchers combined for 13 strikeouts.
Georgia State continues its run of nationally-ranked opponents as the Panthers head to Nashville, Tenn., for a four-game weekend series at No. 3-ranked Vanderbilt, beginning Friday at 5:30 p.m. ET. All four games in the series will air on SECN+.
