Panthers Fall 6-2 to No. 7 Georgia; Puckett Drives in Two

ATLANTA – Playing its fourth straight game against a nationally-ranked opponent, Georgia State fell 6-2 to No. 7 Georgia Wednesday afternoon at the GSU Baseball Complex.

Junior third baseman Kalen Puckett drove in both runs for the Panthers (2-3) with a squeeze bunt and a sacrifice fly. He also had a double off the left field wall in the first inning.

GSU entered the ninth inning trailing 4-2 before the Bulldogs added two runs in the top of the frame.

Georgia (4-1) got two-run homers from Corey Collins and Riley King, and four Bulldog pitchers combined for 13 strikeouts.
