Foster Named GSU Student-Athlete of the Week

ATLANTA – Ashley Foster is this week's GSU Student-Athlete of the Week after leading the women's basketball team to a pair of wins last week.

Foster averaged 11.0 ppg and 4.7 rebounds per game to help GSU take two of its three games with wins over Florida A&M and Charleston Southern.

Foster scored a team-high 17 points with a pair of steals in Tuesday's win over Florida A&M. After a tough loss to undefeated Tulsa on Saturday, Foster led GSU to a 55-50 win over Charleston Southern Sunday. The senior finished with 11 points, seven rebounds, five assists and two blocks against the Buccaneers.

Foster and her teammates will return to action after the holiday break opening Sun Belt Conference play against Little Rock on Dec. 30, at 12 p.m., live on ESPN+.
