QUICK NOTES
•   Georgia State continues its three-game road swing Saturday at Chattanooga on ESPN+. Tipoff is at 1:30 p.m.
•   GSU and Chattanooga will be meeting for the 17th time Saturday. The Mocs won last season's contest 73-70 in OT. GSU trailed by 23 but fought back and sent the game to overtime with a Taylor Henderson 3FG with 0.8 seconds left in regulation.
•   The Panthers have won three of their last four after an exciting 62-61 win at Alabama A&M on Monday. Ashley Foster hit the game-winning 3-pointer with less than 15 seconds left to put GSU on top. GSU's last two games have both been decided by one point after a 91-90 loss in overtime at North Alabama on Saturday.
•   Ashley Foster posted career-highs in points (19) and rebounds (6) in the season-opener at Florida. All five newcomers made their GSU debut. Freshman Nyla Jean scored 10 points. Foster also led GSU in scoring vs. Tennessee State with 15 points.
•   The Panthers return five players that started 10 or more games last season. The key returners for GSU include Taniyah Worth (8.5 ppg, 3.2 rpg), Hannah Sadler (8.2 ppg, 3.5 rpg), Tehya Lyons (6.1 ppg, 46 assists), and Kam Dziak (5.0 ppg, 30 3FG made).
•   The Panthers recorded their second winning season in the last three years in 2020-21 and earned the No. 2 seed from the east at the Sun Belt Championship. It was GSU's first No. 2 seed since 2001.
•   GSU returns 10 players overall and welcomes five newcomers. Head coach Gene Hill also welcomed a new assistant coach in the offseason, Roddreka Rogers.
•   Of the 15 Panthers on this year's roster, eight are from Georgia, two from Alabama, two from Florida, one from Maryland, one from Ohio, and one from Israel.
•   Georgia State begins conference play Dec. 30 at home against Little Rock. The Panthers were picked seventh in the preseason coaches' poll.
