Lemons Named GSU Student-Athlete of the Week

ATLANTA -- Evoni Lemons is this week's GSU Student-Athlete of the Week after leading the Georgia State volleyball team to a big win over Troy on Saturday night.

Lemons tallied 23 kills over two matches against South Alabama and Troy over the weekend, including a stellar 10 kill performance against the Trojans that gave the Panthers their first Sun Belt victory of the 2021 campaign.

The dynamic freshman also had a major impact defensively for the Panthers as she tallied 13 digs over the weekend. Lemons has now notched double-digit kills in three consecutive matches, including a season/career high 19 kill performance against Georgia Southern last weekend.

Lemons and the Panthers will return home for the start of a big four-match homestand hosting Arkansas State on Friday night at 6:30 p.m.
