ATLANTA -- Georgia State offensive line standout
Shamarious Gilmore was named to Phil Steele's 2020 Preseason All-Sun Belt Conference first team, headlining a group of 11 Panthers honored in the annual preseason magazine.
Gilmore, a senior from Riverdale, Ga., and Drew High School, is a three-year starter at left guard who has been named All-Sun Belt following each of his first three seasons. Earlier this summer, he also made Athlon Sports' Preseason All-Sun Belt first team.

Gilmore is one of two offensive linemen recognized by Phil Steele as junior center
Malik Sumter is a third-team selection. The Panthers also have two defensive linemen on the team with junior defensive end
Hardrick Willis (third team) and senior noseguard
Dontae Wilson (fourth team), as well as senior inside linebacker
Trajan Stephens-McQueen (third team).
Phil Steele also recognized two GSU newcomers on its third team in graduate transfer placekicker
Noel Ruiz, a former FCS All-American at North Carolina Central, and cornerback
Jamyest Williams, a transfer from South Carolina, as well as sophomore outside linebacker
Jontrey Hunter (third team), coming off a redshirt season in 2019.Â
