Introducing the 2020 Football Staff

With the recent hiring of Dan Ellington as an assistant coach, Georgia State's football staff of position coaches for the 2020 season is complete.

Head coach Shawn Elliott enters his fourth season at the helm after leading the Panthers to bowl games in two of his first three years.

Elliott's offensive staff is led by offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Brad Glenn, entering his second year at GSU.

In his first season in Atlanta, Glenn orchestrated the most prolific offensive season in program history with school records for points, scoring average, total offense, total offense per game, rushing yards, rushing yards per game, rushing yards per attempt and first downs.

The offensive staff also includes:

Offensive line coach Thomas Austin, entering his second season at GSU

Offensive assistant Dan Ellington, who joins the staff this year after his standout playing career

Wide Receivers Coach Trent McKnight, in his fourth season at GSU

Tight Ends/Running Backs Coach Josh Stepp, in his fourth season with the program

The GSU defense is led by fourth-year defensive coordinator and outside linebackers coach Nate Fuqua. Fuqua's unit played a key role in the Panthers' landmark upset at Tennessee last season, holding the Volunteers to just 93 yards rushing.

The defensive staff also features:

Safeties coach & recruiting coordinator Chris Collins, in his fourth season at GSU

Inside linebackers coach Brian Landis, who joins the program this season

Also new to the staff this season is Cornerbacks coach Cory Peoples

Travian Robertson, entering his second season as defensive line coach and third year with the program
