Meyberg Named Sun Belt Track Athlete of the Week

Second conference honor of the season for Meyberg.

NEW ORLEANS -- Lotte Meyberg is this week's Sun Belt Women's Track Athlete of the Week the conference announced Wednesday.

Meyberg won the Mile at the South Alabama Jaguar Invite. Her winning time of 4:55.69 bested second place by over two seconds and set a personal best by four seconds. This time is currently the fastest Mile time in the Sun Belt Conference and No. 3 all-time for GSU (behind current teammate and school-record holder, Angela Alonso).

After this weekend's competition, Meyberg now leads the Conference in three individual events: Mile, 3,000 meters and 5,000 meters.

Meyberg also won the award on Jan. 22.
