Bobcats Hold Off Late GSU Rally

Hosendove recorded her ninth double-double of the season with 23 points and 11 rebounds.

SAN MARCOS, Texas -- Georgia State made a late push in the final minutes of Saturday's game at Teas State, but the Bobcats held on to win 67-62.

Taylor Hosendove drilled a 3-pointer to pull the Panthers to within three points with 15 seconds left but the Bobcats made their free throws to hold off the comeback.

Hosendove scored 12 of her team-high 23 points in the fourth quarter. She finished with 11 rebounds for her ninth double-double of the year.

Georgia State and Texas State stayed close the whole contest with all four quarters being decided by four points or less. GSU led 16-14 after the first quarter but and retook the lead at 47-46 in the fourth quarter after Kamryn Dziak hit a corner 3-pointer. That would be GSU's last lead of the game.

Georgia State returns home to host rival Georgia Southern Saturday at 2 p.m. at the GSU Sports Arena.
