Panthers Host Toccoa Falls Friday in Home Opener

ATLANTA-After playing the longest game in program history on Wednesday night and into Thursday morning, Georgia State will host Toccoa Falls on Friday afternoon at 4 p.m., at the GSU Sports Arena in the home opener.

Georgia State (1-0) topped Georgia Tech 123-120 on Wednesday at McCamish Pavilion in four overtimes, while scoring the most points in program history and defeating an ACC opponent for the first time.

Four Panthers (Corey Allen, Eliel Nsoseme, Justin Roberts, and Kane Williams) each scored 20 or more points again the Yellow Jackets marking the first time in program history that four or more players scored 20 or more points in a game in program history.

Toccoa Falls (0-5) will face the Panthers for the first time as Georgia State looks to extend an 11-game winning streak in home openers.

  • Georgia State and Toccoa Falls College will meet for the first time ever on Friday. It will mark the only first-time opponent on the Panthers schedule this year.

Following Friday afternoon's game, Georgia State will return to the road for the first of two games with Mercer this season, the first coming on Monday night in Macon. The game can be seen on ESPN+ and heard on WRAS-FM 88.5 at 7 p.m.
