ATLANTA – With the season set to start in just under two weeks, the Georgia State men's basketball team announced its non-conference schedule on Thursday as preparations continue for opening night against an in-city foe.
Coming off a 19-win season and the first under head coach
Rob Lanier, Georgia State will open the season making the short trip across town to McCamish Pavilion to square off with Georgia Tech on opening night, Nov. 25. It will mark the first regular season game between the two programs since 2008, though the schools did play an exhibition game in 2017 won by the Panthers.
The home opener comes on Fri., Nov. 27, hosting Toccoa Falls, one of two non-D1 games on the schedule this season.
The Panthers will play their final two non-conference road games making trips to Mercer on Nov. 30, followed by a trip to Charlotte on Dec. 4.
After a period off for final exams, Georgia State will host Mercer (Dec. 16), Carver (Dec. 18), and the College of Charleston (Dec. 21) to round out non-conference play before the holiday break.
Sun Belt Conference play will get underway with a two-game road trip to Coastal Carolina Jan. 1 and 2.

seating chart). Georgia State anticipates selling out of season tickets this year which will ensure no single game ticket availability this season.
