ATLANTA- After having a bye weekend, Georgia State returns to action with a trio of matches at Appalachian State beginning Friday afternoon. 

SCOUTING GEORGIA STATE

> Prior to the break in action, Coastal Carolina swept Georgia State in a three-game series at the GSU Sports Arena. 

> Clara Bednarek led the GSU offense in the effort against the Chanticleers. Bednarek recorded a career high 15 kills in a single match.

> Florida native, Jordan Shoemaker, dished out 34 assists, her best conference performance this season. 

> Meisheia Griffin leads the league and ranks fifth in the NCAA in blocks per set.

SCOUTING APPALACHIAN STATE 

> The Mountaineers accumulated a 13-17 overall record, including a 9-7 conference note. 

> Appalachian State's roster boasts 15 veterans including Emma Reilly, the Preseason Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Year. 

> The Mountaineers have a 0-3 record so far in 2020 action. 

> Matt Ginipro is in his 13th season at the program's helm.
