ATLANTA – Georgia State men's tennis head coach Jonathan Wolff announced the Panthers' 2021 schedule Tuesday morning, opening the spring slate at home against Charlotte on Jan. 30.
"We are very excited for our upcoming 2021 Spring schedule. The team is working hard and is eager to get back out there to compete against some tough competition," said Wolff.
The Panthers wrap up opening weekend with another home match on Jan. 31 against Tennessee Tech. Georgia State begins February action on the road to take on Liberty on Feb. 5 before traveling to Auburn for a meeting with the Tigers on Feb. 12.
The Panthers return home for a three-game homestand, hosting Furman on Feb. 14, Chattanooga on Feb. 19, and Kennesaw State on Feb. 26.
Wolff's club will take on a second Power-Five opponent on the road in LSU on Feb. 28.
On March 5 the Panthers will host Jacksonville State before beginning a slate of four mid-March away contests in Florida. Georgia State will square off against UNF on March 7, Stetson on March 14, USF on March 16, and FAU on March 18 to conclude non-conference action.
In the Sun Belt opener Georgia State will face Coastal Carolina at a neutral location on March 23. The Panthers will round out the month of March with a home contest against in-state foe, Georgia Southern, on March 27.
The Panthers will begin April with a trio of matches in Alabama. First, Georgia State will play Troy on April 2 before concluding regular season Sun Belt action on April 3 against South Alabama. The following week the squad will return to the Yellowhammer State to face off against UAB.
Georgia State goes on the road to play MTSU on April 16 before its final home match of the season on April 18 against UNCW.
In his fourth season at the helm, Wolff returns seven veterans to the 2021 roster. The Panthers finished the shortened season with a 5-8 record.
