Meyberg Named GSU Student-Athlete of the Week

ATLANTA- Lotte Meyberg is this week's GSU Student-Athlete of the Week. Meyberg won the 2019 Sun Belt Cross Country Championship Saturday morning at Nash Farm Battlefield Park.

The junior from Buettelborn, Germany ran the championship 5K in 17.11.7, 15 seconds better than the second-place finisher to give Georgia State its third individual Sun Belt champion since 2012. Katherine Showalter won the championship in 2012 and Hannah Stefanoff won the title in 2014.

This season Meyberg has recorded three other first place finishes en route to being named the 2019 Sun Belt Women's Runner of the Year and earning first-team All-Sun Belt honors.

A two-time CoSIDA Academic All-American, Meyberg will look to continue her successful campaign at NCAA South Regionals later this month.
