ATLANTA- Lotte Meyberg is this week's GSU Student-Athlete of the Week. Meyberg finished eighth out of 200 runners at the 2019 NCAA South Region Championship hosted by Florida State with a time of  20:32.3. 

Meyberg's eighth place finish is tied for the second-best finish by a Panther at the event only bested by Jennifer Feenstra's second-place finish in 2001. Meyberg's performance is the best GSU individual finish since Rachel Hannah also placed eighth in 2007. 

A native of Germany, Meyberg has put together an impressive junior campaign. Two weeks ago she won the 2019 Sun Belt Championship by 15 seconds and was named Sun Belt Women's Runner of the Year.
