Pair of Panthers Earn CoSIDA All-District Honors

Hash and Bandera shine on and off the court

ATLANTA- Morgan Hash and Lauren Bandera of Georgia State women's volleyball have been selected to the 2019 CoSIDA Academic All-District team, the organization announced.

Hash, a senior right-side hitter from Franklin, Ind., has thrown down 89 kills this season despite coming back from injury. Hash owns a 4.0 GPA while majoring in public health and has been selected to the CoSIDA Academic All-District team in back-to-back years. Last year she also earned Academic All-American Second Team accolades.

Bandera, a sophomore libero from Pembroke Pines, Fla., has led the defensive effort for the Panthers this year. She earned Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Week honors on Sept. 2. Her 29 digs against Fordham is the most by any player in the conference during a four-set match this year. Bandera was named to the Sun Belt Commissioner's list for the 2018-2019 school year and owns a 4.0 GPA while majoring in Psychology.  

The 2019 Academic All-District® Women's volleyball team, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. Honorees selected First Team Academic All-District® advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early December.

Georgia State women's volleyball (9-17) finishes regular season action with a home match against Georgia Southern Friday night at GSU Sports Arena.
