The Georgia State University Spirit Program have announced cheer tryouts and dance team auditions to select teams for the upcoming 2017-18 season. The new teams will be the inaugural teams to perform in the new Georgia State Stadium at the home opener on August 31.

Cheerleading tryouts will be held on May 12-13. Dance team auditions will be held on May 13-14.

Head coach and spirit program director Darryl Lyons is looking for a dedicated group of athletes to form both the coed and all girl cheer teams, the Pantherettes dance team, and the team of Pounce mascots.
