ATLANTA -- Kinsley Jennings went 3-0 this week, helping the Panthers to a perfect 4-0 record including a series sweep over Appalachian State to earn Georgia State's Student-Athlete of the Week, powered by the U.S. Marines.

Jennings had an impressive 0.75 ERA through 18.2 innings of work. She recorded 16 strikeouts including 10 strikeouts in the win against the Mountaineers on Sunday which set a new season high among GSU pitchers. On Wednesday versus Kennesaw State, Jennings allowed just one run over six innings as GSU rallied from three runs down to defeat the Owls. Jennings got the start in Game 2 of the App State series and held the Mountaineers to just one earned run in six innings of work, striking out four.

She saved her best performance for last, entering Sunday's game with one out in the first inning after App jumped out to a 4-0 lead. Jennings pitched the remaining 6.2 innings, striking out 10 and holding the Mountaineers scoreless to allow the Panthers to score nine straight runs and get the sweep.

On the season, Jennings holds an 8-4 record and a 2.01 ERA. She leads the team in wins and in strikeouts with 50.

Georgia State is back in action this Wednesday as the team travels right down the street to Georgia Tech. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.
