Panthers to Face Commodores in Power-5 Match-Up

ATLANTA- The Georgia State men's tennis team will head to Nashville, Tenn. to face SEC opponent Vanderbilt Sunday evening.

This will be the second Power-5 team GSU has played in the young season, with the team upsetting then-No. 27 Florida State last weekend.

The Panthers are coming off a 3-0 run at the Florida State Invite, defeating Florida A&M, Troy and the Seminoles to win the tournament. Georgia State won over the Rattlers and Trojans in straight sets, while a 4-2 victory over FSU earned the championship.

No. 105 Felipe Jaworski, Jannis Koeke, and Jack MacFarlane have all clinched matches this season, with MacFarlane clinching the upset over the Seminoles.

The Commodores are 3-1 entering the match against GSU, and are on a 3-0 run after falling to Northwestern 4-3 in the season opener. Prior to the match Sunday evening, Vanderbilt will face Penn in the first of the day's doubleheader.
