AUBURN, Ala. – Georgia State's five-game win streak was snapped Friday at the Wilson/Demarini Classic as the Panthers (10-8) lost to the Indiana Hoosiers 3-0 in Auburn, Ala.

In the second meeting of the season between the two schools, Indiana once again won by three runs to improve to 9-6 on the season. Senior Katie Worley pitched well for GSU and had a no-hitter going until Indiana broke through with a 2-RBI double and RBI-single in the bottom of the fourth to take the 3-0 lead. Worley finished with just two hits allowed and four strikeouts, but was hit with her first loss of the season and now sits at 5-1.

Taylor Thorpe came on in relief and tossed 2.1 scoreless innings while giving up two hits and recording two strikeouts.

GSU had its best chance to make some noise in the top of the sixth inning. Mallory Koepke drew a leadoff walk before Ivie Drake broke up Indiana's bid for a no-hitter with a single to deep right-center field. The Panthers then loaded the bases thanks to an IU error, but left them loaded as the Hoosiers escaped the jam.

Georgia State faces Bryant (0-6) Saturday at 6:30 p.m. EST and will play a doubleheader against No. 3/4 Auburn on Sunday at 2 and 4:30 p.m. The first game of the doubleheader will be shown on the SEC Network.
