Men's Tennis Swept 4-0 by No. 39 Drake

ATLANTA - The No. 71 Georgia State men's tennis team was swept by No. 39 Drake 4-0 Sunday night.

Despite the rainy conditions in Atlanta, the Panthers were able to get the match in at Piedmont Park.

The Panthers started off the match by dropping the doubles point. At No. 1 doubles, Thomas Cook and Robert Schulze lost 8-2 to Robin Goodman and Ben Lott. At No. 2 doubles, Felipe Jaworski and Valentin Horvat lost 8-1 to Alen Salibasic and Ben Mullis. Jannis Koeke and Eric Baum were leading 6-3 at No. 3 doubles when the match was called.

At singles, Cook lost to Salibasic 6-3, 7-5 at No. 1 singles. At No. 2 singles, Koeke lost to Lott 6-0, 6-0. At No. 3 singles, Schulze lost 6-0, 6-3 to Goodman. GSU's other three matches were in their second sets when the match was called.

The Panthers will be back in action on March 22 when they host Bradley at the Blackburn Tennis Center.
