Faculty-Staff Appreciation Day & Tailgate Carnival

Saturday's football game between Georgia State and Old Dominion (12 noon) is Faculty-Staff Appreciation Day at the Georgia Dome.

Any faculty or staff member at GSU is eligible for a free ticket, with the ability to purchase three more tickets at the discounted price of just $10 a ticket.

This Faculty-Staff offer is available only by visiting the GSU Ticket Office at the Sports Arena by Friday at 5 p.m. The Faculty-Staff offer CANNOT be redeemed on game day at the Georgia Dome.

Saturday's 12 noon kickoff is a regionally televised game on CSS and other affiliates throughout the Southeast and mid-Atlantic regions.

It promises to be an entertaining and lively battle between two teams that each opened the 2011 season with 41 points in week one victories. Old Dominion is a Colonial Athletic Association school that will become a rival when Georgia State begins playing a full CAA schedule next year.

This game also provides a free Tailgate Carnival, beginning at 9 a.m. in the Orange and Brown parking lots outside the Georgia Dome. The Tailgate Carnival includes a 40-foot Ferris wheel and a 20-foot swing ride in the Orange Lot, all free.

The Carnival theme continues in the PantherZone in the Brown Lot with the Mechanical Bull ride, Rock Wall, the QB Blitz game, the To The Hoop game, and smaller carnival-style games. As always, video games, face painting and airbrushing will be available for fans.
