NFL Hall of Fame player Willie Davis came to Atlanta and spoke to the team after Monday's practice.
Davis, who is one of Coach Bill Curry's heroes, spoke on what it takes to be a champion.
Big #87 led the Packers of Vince Lombardi to five NFL Championships in a seven-year period, a feat Coach Curry swears will never be done again in NFL history.
Davis played 12 consecutive years without missing a game, terrorizing QB's and RB's from his defensive line position. The team captain and five-time Pro Bowl pick was just a 15th round pick out of tiny Grambling. And, he left college and served two years in the Army before moving on to the NFL.
Now 76 and a highly-successful businessman living in Los Angeles, Willie Davis was the team leader who showed a rookie offensive lineman, Bill Curry, how to achieve in the NFL.
Davis shared that with the inaugural Georgia State football team, so that they, too, could become successful on and off the football field.
