A Great Game Plus Great Entertainment

Saturday's men's basketball game with CAA rival VCU will include the famous Chicago Bulls Bucket Boys at halftime. Since late 2002 the Bucket Boys have been a regular attraction during Chicago Bulls halftime shows and they'll now entertain Panther fans at the GSU Sports Arena.

The halftime promotion brings to Georgia State one of the most beloved halftime shows in the NBA. The Bucket Boys are a group of Chicago South Side teenage drummers that have been playing the streets of Chicago for years. Using milk crates and simple buckets the percussion group has been making noise for years.

Getting their break in 2002, they became regulars during Bulls games and have since expanded their resume. The Bucket Boys have appeared during numerous NBA and NCAA events including the 2004 NBA All-Star game halftime show.

The Bucket Boys shared the stage with Beyonce, OutKast, and Christina Aguilera. The group also filmed a spot for KFC and joined Hank Williams, Jr. on his "Are You Ready For Some Football?!" spot for ABC's Monday Night Football.

The National Anthem will be performed by the Cantare Choir from north metro Atlanta. This talented group of children, ages 8-11, have performed all over metro Atlanta in recent years. They were selected to perform at the Governor's Mansion just a month ago during the Christmas special events. The impressive young performers will provide a special rendition that you'll remember.

Saturday is also bring cans of food for the Atlanta Food Bank and you can get a specially-made Georgia State tote bag with the new logo with your donation of six cans of food before the game.

Tickets are on sale now online here or through the ticket office during the week, as well as on game day. Tip time Saturday with the first-place VCU Rarms is set for 6 p.m. This is one day you won't want to miss!
