Following a four-year career in a Georgia State uniform, Chris Clerkley joined the Panther staff for the 2020-21 season as a graduate assistant.

Clerkley graduated with a degree in creative and innovative education in Dec. 2019, earning his degree in just 3.5 years. During his playing career he saw action in 59 games, including two starts as a senior. He was a four-time Athletic Director's Honor Roll recipient before garnering President's List recognition in his final semester.

As a senior he set highs in nearly every statistical category, playing in 26 games while scoring 29 points and grabbing 35 rebounds.
