Sam Campanella

Sam Campanella originally joined the Georgia State Athletics Staff in September 2019 as Compliance Coordinator. He currently serves as Assistant Director of Compliance, a position he was elevated to in January 2022. His primary responsibilities include personnel and both initial and continuing eligibility.

Prior to joining the Panthers, Campanella served as the Compliance Assistant at Georgia Tech. During his time with the Yellow Jackets, Campanella assisted in all aspects of NCAA Compliance, while being the primary contact for all issues related to Student-Athlete Employment, Charitable Donations/Autograph Requests and CARA logs.

Campanella earned his Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Auburn University in May of 2016. During his time as an undergraduate at Auburn, he interned in the Auburn Athletics marketing office. He later went on to earn his Juris Doctor degree from the Emory University School of Law in May of 2019. While at Emory, he served as an intern for the Georgia State compliance office from January 2018 – December 2018.

Sam currently resides in Kennesaw, Ga. with his wife, Alexis, son Taylor, and their two dogs, Svena and Mowgli.
