Oliver “Bud” Pough joined the Georgia State Athletics Department in February 2022 and serves as a compliance specialist.
Prior to Georgia State, Pough spent two and a half years at the NCAA national office as an assistant director of Academic and Membership Services. In this role, he specialized in supporting Division I institutions, conferences, and coaches’ associations with the application of NCAA legislation.
Before his work at the national office, Pough spent six years at Clemson University, beginning as a compliance intern and later holding the titles of Compliance Coordinator and Director of Compliance Services.
Pough is a 2003 graduate from The Citadel and majored in business administration. He is a four-year football letter winner at The Citadel. In 2010, he earned a master’s degree in Sport Management from West Virginia University.
A native of Orangeburg, SC, Pough and his wife, Natalie, have two daughters: Taylor and Olivia.
