Kaprice Williams begins her first year at Georgia State as a volunteer coach for the track and field squads.

Kaprice is a speed and strength coach for many sport teams in the Atlanta area. She works with a variety of sports such as football, baseball, basketball, track and field, soccer, and swimming on the high school, collegiate and professional levels.

She had a first-hand experience of the love and dedication of sports while competing at Clemson University on a full track and field scholarship in 2002 and ended her 4 year career at the University of Central Florida in 2006. Her success not only showed on the track, but also in the classroom as she earned Dean’s List honors throughout her college tenure.

Even as a young athlete in high school, she competed all 4 years at the Penn Relays and was also a member of the No. 1 ranked 4x2 relay team in the nation at Eleanor Roosevelt High School.

Kaprice understands what it takes to be an athlete and a coach and is determined to bring her knowledge of the sport to the program to develop great athletes. She is level 1 USATF-certified and will continue to complete higher certifications to help grow the program. Kaprice is extremely passionate about coaching and started to pursue her career when her track and field idol, Gail Devers recommended that she coach.

A native of Prince George’s County, Md., Kaprice is the daughter of James and Gwen Williams and is the youngest of five siblings. Her sister competed on a full track and field Division 1 scholarship and her brother is currently a professional football player. She comes from a family background of sports and hopes to continue her success here at Georgia State Unviersity.
