Georgia State University Athletics

Dave Demer joined the Georgia State Athletics Department as the General Manager for Van Wagner Sports and Entertainment in October 2018 before being promoted to Assistant Vice President - East Region in January 2022. He oversees a staff that is responsible for generating relationships and sponsorship revenue for the athletic department.

Demer has spent the majority of his career in the radio business, coming to Georgia State following a stint with Entercom in Atlanta. A native of upstate New York, his career began in Ithaca, N.Y., before stops in Rochester, N.Y., New York City, Philadelphia, Orlando, and Birmingham.

His passion is to help clients look like heroes to their bosses by creating marketing solutions that get noticed and drive sales.

In his free time, he loves to travel, mountain bike and tackle projects around the house.
