A 2007 graduate of Georgia State, Clarence Boyd begins his second season as a volunteer assistant coach for the women's tennis team. He will assist head coach Miha Lisac with all aspects of the program.

Boyd joined Lisac's staff prior to last season after working for four years with the Georgia Tech men's tennis team. While at Georgia Tech, Boyd helped coach Guillermo Gomez as he became the ACC  Freshman of the Year in 2008 and a three-time ITA All-American.

Boyd graduated from Georgia State in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in psychology. He played four seasons on the men's tennis team, earning 10 wins each in singles and doubles play throughout his career.

He attended Saddlebrook Prep in Tampa, Fla., prior to enrolling at Georgia State. Boyd is a native of Southfield, Mich. He has a twin brother, Terrance, and another brother and sister, Issac and Tapaiwa, who are also twins.
