Caitlin Bamberger joined the Georgia State athletics department as the Assistant Director of Academic Services in January 2026. She currently works with the football and women’s tennis program within the Office of Academic Support and Student-Athlete Development (P.A.S.S). 

Prior to arriving at GSU, Bamberger held multiple roles within the Student-Athlete Support Services Office (SASS) at Mercer University, most recently serving as the Assistant Director. In her most recent role, some of her responsibilities included serving as the Director of Football Academics, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the SASS office, supervising graduate assistants, tutors and study hall monitors and leading first-year seminar courses for freshman student-athletes. 

She also served as the academic advisor for: Men’s Soccer, Women’s Lacrosse, Volleyball, and Women’s Golf. During her time at Mercer, Bamberger helped lead Mercer University to its 10th consecutive Barrett Bonner Award (awarded to the Southern Conference school with highest percentage of student-athletes on academic honor roll, 3.0 & higher). Bamberger was also a Co-Advisor of Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

Before moving in to academic services, Bamberger served as the assistant women’s basketball coach at the University of Findlay from 2017-22 and a graduate assistant for women’s basketball at the University of North Alabama from 2013-2016. While at the University of Findlay, she helped guide the program to some of its most successful seasons. Off the court, Findlay finished as high as No. 4 and No. 5 amongst WBCA Division II programs with a team GPA of 3.701 and 3.725, respectively.

A native of Reading, Pa., Bamberger earned her Bachelor’s degree from Shippensburg University in Human Communication Studies in 2013 and her Master's degree in Health and Human Promotion with a concentration in Sports Management. She was a three-year captain of the women’s basketball team at Shippensburg and served as the President of Tau Kappa, a women’s athletic sorority.Â
