Georgia State University Athletics

Bennett graduated from State in 2008 with a degree in real estate. He finished his career with 161.2 innings pitched, striking out 116, making 16 starts and 81 total appearances on the mound.

During his senior season, he became the Panthers all-time leader in appearances, surpassing the previous mark of 68. During his sophomore season, he set the single-season mark with 28 appearances on the mound, a record that still stands today.

He has served as the commissioner of the Sunbelt Baseball League since graduating. As head of the Atlanta-based summer collegiate league, Bennett handled all of the administrative, financial and recruiting tasks, supporting the 240 student-athletes and 25 coaches.

Bennett also served as the head baseball coach at Heritage Christian Academy in Buford during the 2009 season.
