After a successful four years on the Georgia State women's tennis team, Alexia Alvarez joined the GSU staff as a Marketing graduate assistant in August 2023.
While participating on the women's tennis team, Alvarez earned numerous athletic and academic accolades, including eight consecutive academic honors, two Sun Belt Comissioner's list honors and CSC Academic All-District® Women's At-Large Team honors. On the court, Alvarez highlighted her career on the women's tennis team that posted a historic turnaround season for the Panthers team that saw a 17-6 final record to claim a share of the Sun Belt Conference Regular Season Championship in 2022.
Alvarez obtained her bachelor of education in health and physical education in May 2023. She is currently working toward her master's of science in sports administration.
Alvarez is native of Canary Islands, Spain.
