Georgia State head volleyball coach Terry Hutchinson announced the hire of Alesha Wilson as assistant coach.
Wilson comes to Atlanta after two seasons as an assistant coach at Dartmouth, where she helped the Big Green advance to a postseason tournament for the first time in school history.
Prior to her time at Dartmouth, Wilson served as a graduate assistant for two years at the University of Dallas. She helped revitalize an undersized front row and lead the team to a 10-win improvement in her second season.
While in Texas, Wilson also served as the Interim Director of Drive Nation Sports, which hosts college coaching camps for student-athletes.
Wilson earned her bachelor's degree in chemical and biomolecular engineering from North Carolina State University in 2014. As a player at NC State, she ranked among the top five on the team in blocks and attacks helping the team make its first NCAA tournament appearance since 1987. Wilson also served one year as an undergraduate assistant coach at her alma mater in 2015.
Wilson is a native of Keller, Texas.
