Aaron Thomas

Aaron Thomas joined the Georgia State Athletics staff as the Director of Ticket Operations in May 2026.

Thomas arrives in Atlanta following multiple stops across collegiate athletics and professional sports, bringing experience in ticket operations, event management and basketball operations. Most recently, he served as the Assistant Ticketing Manager – Operations at the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex from August 2025 to January 2026. Prior to his time at the BJCC, Thomas worked with the Arkansas Travelers during the 2025 season in a team support role.

Before transitioning into professional sports operations, Thomas served as the Director of Ticket Sales & Operations at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi from 2023-24, overseeing ticketing strategy and game day operations for the Islanders athletic department. He also spent more than a year as a Ticket Operations Specialist at Murray State University.

Thomas began his career at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, where he spent nearly five years working within the men’s basketball program. During his time with the Trojans, Thomas served as a Men’s Basketball Student Assistant and later as Interim Director of Basketball Operations during the 2021-22 season, overseeing day-to-day operations, team travel, budget management and recruiting logistics. He also supervised student managers, contributed to player development efforts and assisted with film breakdown, analytics and practice support. Thomas was part of the Trojans staff during the program’s 2019-20 Sun Belt Conference Regular Season Championship campaign.

In addition to his basketball operations experience, Thomas also served as the program’s Men’s Basketball Assistant Camp Director and completed an internship with the athletic training staff, assisting with rehabilitation and care for student-athletes.

A native of Little Rock, Arkansas, Thomas earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health Education and Promotion from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 2022.
