Biography

Outdoor Track and Field 2010: Competed in the 100-meter dash, long jump and triple jump during the outdoor season...Ran a 12.61 in the 100m at the CAA Championship...Finished with a 4.92 (16-01.70) in the long jump and 11.17 (36-07.76) in the triple jump at the CAA Championship...Had a season best in the triple jump at the Gem of the Hills Invitational with a 11.22 (36-09.75)...Made the AD Honor roll list for the spring semester.

Indoor Track and Field 2010: Competed in the 60-meter dash, long jump and triple jump during the indoor season...At the ETSU Invitational jumped 5:34m (17-06.25) in the long jump...Ran a personal best in the 60-meter dash at the New Balance Invitational with a time of 7.84.

Outdoor Track and Field 2010: Competed in the 100m, long jump and triple jump during the outdoor season...Ran her season-best 12.61 in the 100m at the CAA Championships...Recorded the team's second best distance in the long jump with 5.13m at the Morehouse Relays to finish fifth...Placed fourth in the triple jump at the Gem of the Hills meet with a season-best distance of 11.60m.

Indoor Track and Field 2009:  Competed in the 60m, long jump and triple jump during the indoor season...Ran her best time in the 60m at the Clemson Invitational, finishing in 8.10 seconds...Posted the team’s third best distance in the long jump with 5.11m at the Virginia Tech Challenge...Also posted her season-best in the triple jump at the Virginia Tech Challenge with 11.35m to finish in 11th place.

Prep:  Attended Newton County High School where she earned four letters in fast pitch softball and track and field, and three letters in basketball...She was the fastest base runner and an all-county outfielder...Was named MVP for four straight years in track and field, received the “Jumpers Award”, and was named Athlete of the Year...Set a school long jump record of 18’7”and a triple jump record of 37’5”...Competed in nationals as a member of the 4x100m team and placed sixth...In basketball, she was named “Best Defensive Player” in 2004, “Best Offensive Player” in 2007-08...Was a member of the all-county and all-tournament teams.

Personal:  Born December 28, 1989 to Larry and Angela Marks...Has an older brother, Cordell, an younger sister, Chaconna, and a older sister, Tameeka...Also recruited to Bethune-Cookman, Western Kentucky, UGA, and the Naval Academy for track and field...Major is biology.
