Earned a personal best in the 200m (25.87) at the Beynon Sports Surface Catamount Classic… Placed fourth in the 400m (58:85) at JSU Gamecock Quad Invite… Finished third in the 4x400m (3:56:76) at Western Track and Field Invitational… Placed fourth in the 4x400m (3:50:44) at Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket Invitational.

2017 Indoor

Recorded a personal best in the 500m at the UAB Blazer Invitational... Placed fifth in the 4x400m (4:02:61) at the BSC Panther Indoor Icebreaker.

2016 Outdoor

Placed third while recording a personal best in the 400m (56.96) at Western Carolina University T&F Invitational… Placed second in the 4x400m (3:48.65) at Western Carolina University T&F Invitational… Won the 400m (57.96) and 4x400m (4:03.90) at the Cougar Classic… Earned a personal best in the 200m (26.04) at the Cougar Classic… Placed second in the 4x100m (47.68) at the Lady Gamecock Quad Meet (JSU). 

2016 Indoor

Finished fourth at the Sun Belt Indoor Track and Field Championships in the distance medley relay (12:16.47)... Placed second in the 4x400m (3:53.22) at the Chipotle Marshall Invitational… Ran a 1:00.73 in the 400m and 4:11.56 in the 4x400m at the ASU Invitational... Placed ninth in the 4x400m (4:07.96) at the David E. Walker Kickoff Classic… Participated in the 400m (1:01.27) and 4x400m (4:08.10) at the BSC Panther Indoor Icebreaker. 

Prep

Afon completed a stellar prep career in south metro Atlanta at Dutchtown High School for coach Marcus Williams.She finished in the top 10 at the state meet three consecutive years in Class AAAAA. Afon's best outdoor times included 57.29 in the 400m (finishing second at Taco Bell Invitational), 25.42 in the 200m (8th at Taco Bell) and 12.46 in the 100m dash.With AAU, Afon was a Junior Olympic 400m qualifier. Indoors, her best times included 59.21 in the 400m, 25.98 in the 200m, 8.37 in the 60m and 7.68 in the 55m.

Personal

Born Feb. 25, 1997, Afon also a Coca-Cola GPA Award Winner. Majoring in neuroscience.
