Biography
2007-08: Ran the
800m during both track seasons . . . in her second meet of the indoor season at
the Niswonger Foundation Invitational, placed 1st and set a PR with
a time of 2:14.80 . . . at the Virginia Tech Challenge, finished in a time of
2:12.85
2006-07:
Recorded three top-10 finishes . . . CAA champion in the 800m, earning All-CAA
honors and setting a Georgia State school record of 2:09.88 . . . was also a
qualifier for NCAA East Region in the 800m and 4x400m relay . . . three wins,
including the CAA championship.
2005-06: Ran
outdoor track her first season on the Panthers track team . . . competed in the
200m, 400m, 800m and 1500m and was part of the 4x400m relay team . . . produced
a personal-best time of 56.70 in the 400m at the Seminole Invitational . . .
was a member of the 4x400m relay team that ran a season-best 3:43.90 at the
Penn Relays . . . earned All-Conference honors as a member of the 4x400m relay
team.
Prep: Competed
on the Mount Miguel High School track team for four years and cross country
team for one . . . she was a team captain and voted MVP from 2001-2003 . . . in
2002, she set the school record in the 400m dash at 57.04 . . . she was also
voted the District Athlete of the Year in 2002 . . . participated in the state
championship in both the 4x100m relay and the 4x400m relay.
Personal:
Denisha was born on September 18, 1985 to Arthur and Denise Bryant . . . she
has an older brother, Arthur, Jr. . . . plans on pursuing a career in
residential interior design.
