Biography
2006-07: Ashantia finished second in the 100m hurdles at the CAA Championships with a personal best time of 13.92, to qualify for the NCAA Regionals and earn All-CAA honors. She claimed eighth place in the 400m hurdles at the CAAs and recorded six top-ten finishes in the 100m hurdles and the 400m hurdles.
Prep: Ashantia, an honor roll student at MLK Jr. H.S., is transferring to Georgia State from Norfolk State University, where her cross country team finished second in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Championships. In high school, she won her regional competition in the 400m.
Personal: Ashantia Mercedes Harris was born to Segerick and Charlotte Clemon on Dec. 18, 1985.
