Biography
2006-07: Ariel competed in both sprints and the high jump for the Panthers during her junior year. She placed fourth in the high jump at the FSU Snowbird Invitational, recording a jump at 1.58 meters. At the CAA Championships, she claimed eighth in the high jump with a distance of 1.60meters. Ariel also participated in sprints in the early portion of the season.
2005-06: Ariel competed in the 200m dash during the indoor and outdoor seasons for Georgia State. Ariel ran a season-best time at the Rod McCravy Memorial. During the outdoor season, she finished 22nd at the Seminole Invitational. Ariel produced a season-best jump of 5’1” in the high jump at the Florida State Opener.
2004-05: Ariel participated in outdoor track for the Lady Panthers in 2005.
Prep: Sutton was a state qualifier and region runner up in the 400 meters as a senior at Newnan High School. She also competed in the high jump for the Cougars.
Personal: Ariel was born on September 9, 1985, in Newnan. Her parents are William and LaSonja Sutton, and her brother, Gerard, is 13 years old.
