Biography
2006-07: Adaku broke the Georgia State record for the 60m dash on three occasions (7.74, 7.70, and 7.53) during the indoor season. She earned All-CAA honors after finishing third in the 100m CAAs and she also claimed fourth in the 200m. Adaku was a member of State’s 4x100m relay team which recorded four top-five finishes and won the CAA Championship, also setting a CAA meet record (45.07), earning Adaku All-CAA honors.
2005-06: Adaku continued to improve during her sophomore season at State. She participated in both the indoor and outdoor seasons. Adaku set a 100-meter dash personal-best time of 11.98 and a personal-record (24.66) in the 200 at the UGA Invitational. Adaku was also a key member of the NCAA East Regional qualifying 4x100-meter relay team that ran a school record 44.89 at the Georgia Tech Invitational. Adaku was named to the 2006 CAA All-Conference team in the 100-meter dash, where she placed third.
2004-05: Adaku placed 12th at the UNC Fast Times indoor meet in the 200 meters, clocking a time of 26.37. She ran her fastest 60 meter dash of the season at the Niswonger Foundation Invitational, finishing in 23rd place with a time of 7.84 seconds.
Prep: Ezeonwuka participated in soccer, field hockey, and track while attending Neptune High School. She was named track team MVP as a senior for the Fliers.
Personal: Adaku was born on February 14, 1985, in Rochester, New York. Her parents are Rommy and Jenny Ezeonwuka and she has three brothers and one sister.
