Erin Murphy

Erin Murphy has been a member of the Georgia State athletics staff since 2014 and is currently serving as a graduate assistant athletic trainer. In her first year, she worked primarily with the cross country and track and field teams at GSU. In her second year, she will primarily work with women's soccer.

Murphy, a native of Centerville, Ohio, is working toward a Master of Science in sports medicine from Georgia State and she plans to graduate in May of 2016. She graduated from Miami (Ohio) in May of 2014 with a B.S. in athletic training.

With the Redhawks, Murphy assisted certified athletic trainers while working with the baseball, football, men's hockey, women's basketball, women's soccer and women's tennis teams. She also travelled with the women's basketball and women's soccer squads in addition to working with Colerain High School.

Murphy's other experience includes working at the 2012 MAC Women's Soccer Championship and travelling to 2012 NCAA women's soccer tournament with Miami. She also completed internships with the Dayton Docs summer collegiate baseball team and the Kettering Sports Medicine Center.

Murphy is a licensed athletic trainer by the State of Georgia Department of Health and a certified athletic trainer by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification. She is also a certified in CPR/AED and emergency medical response by the American Red Cross.
