Career: Two-time first-team All-CAA honoree... Conference player of the year and rookie of the year during freshman season... National Player of the Week in 2008... Four career victories.
2009-10: Led the Panthers with a tie for ninth overall at the 2010 NCAA East Regional, the best individual finish for a Georgia State golfer in a regional since 2006... Claimed a tie for fourth at the John Kirk/Panther Intercollegiate and a top-20 at the Lady Pirate Intercollegiate... Finished 13th at the CAA Championship... Named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll in the fall semester.
2008-09: Posted a school and course record 64 at the U. of Cincinnati Fall Classic... Finished as medalist in Georgia State victories at the U. of Cincinnati Fall Classic and Lady Pirate Intercollegiate... Named National Player of the Week (Golfweek.com) once and CAA Player of the Week four times... Named to All-CAA 1st team... Represented South Africa at the World Team Championships in Australia.
2007-08: Named CAA Golfer of the Year, All-CAA 1st team, and CAA Rookie of the Year... Recorded victories at the Myrtle Beach Classic, with a 69-73 (-2) tournament, and the Lady Jaguar Invitational, 74-70 (E)... Finished in the top 10 in six of her 11 tournaments... Only once all season finished outside of the top 25... Had her score counted in 29 of 30 rounds... Led the team in scoring average, 74.53... Held a 74.23 average in the fall... Led the team with a 74.27 first round average... Finished sixth at the Pinehurst Challenge, carding a 77-74-75 (+10) at Pinehurst No. 8... Finished sixth at the McHaney/Morehead Invitational with a 74-77-78 (+10)... Had a sixth- place finish at the CAA Championship, shooting 74-79-71 (+8)... Prep: Attended Cradock high school in Cradock, South Africa where she played golf, tennis, squash, and swimming ... She also played hockey on the club level... Holds javelin record for Cradock high school (41 m).
Personal: Iliska Verwey was born on June, 27 1988... Her parents are Andrew and Fenet Verwey... Her grandfather, Bobby Verwey, was a professional golfer who had one PGA Tour win and won the 1991 Senior British Open Championship.
