Jackie Szymoniak

Jackie Szymoniak is in her first year as full-time assistant coach after acting as graduate assistant coach during the 2009-10 season. Before lending her coaching talents to Georgia State, Szymoniak spent 2007 and 2008 on the Duramed Futures Tour.

Szymoniak played her college golf at the University of Georgia from 2002-2006. Szymoniak took medalist honors at the 2004 Mason Rudolph Championship and registered top-ten finishes at the 2004 Lady Puerto Rico Classic and 2006 Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic. In October 2004, she was named the National and SEC Golfer of the Week.

In addition to Szymoniak's accomplishments on the course, she was named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll each of her four years, named to the SEC Good Works Team in 2004, 2005, and 2006, and earned a place on the Dean's List in 2003 and 2004.

Szymoniak excelled as an amateur during her college years, qualifying for the match play portion of the U.S. Women's Amateur in 2005 after tying for fourth at the 2005 U.S. Women's Public Links Amateur Championship.

During the summer months, Szymoniak has taught the game during summer camps at Westhampton Country Club in Westhampton, N.Y., UGA Men's and Women's Golf Camps in Athens, Ga. and Canongate at SummerGrove Golf Club in Newnan, Ga.

Szymoniak graduated from the University of Georgia in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in speech communication and achieved a Masters' degree in sports administration in 2010 from Georgia State. She is married to Tom Szymoniak.
