Outdoor Track and Field 2012: Competed in the 800m at the War Eagle Invite and the CAA Championships.
Indoor Track and Field 2012: Finished 5th in the 1,000m at the Clemson Winter Classic...Finished sixth in the mile at the UAB Blazer Invite...Placed second overall in the 800m run at the Birmingham Invitational...Participated in the 800m and the mile at the Vulcan Invite...Came in fourth in both the 800m and the mile at the Sewanee Invite.
Outdoor Track and Field 2011:
Regular competitor for GSU, seeing action in all seven meets...Ran the
800m in each, recording several strong finishes...Best result came at
the Gem of the Hills Invitational, finishing second out of 32
runners...Placed third out of 13 runners at the Georgia Intercollegiate,
fifth out of 14 at the Yellow Jacket Invitational, seventh out of 41 at
the Mississippi Open and ninth out of 22 at the CAA
Championships...Participated in the 1,500m in four different meets, with
her best performances coming at the War Eagle and Gem of the Hills
Invitationals...Earned second place overall in both, the first out of 27
participants and the second out of 23...Competed in the same event at
the CAA Championships, placing eighth overall...Also ran the event at
the Mississippi Open...Helped form two relay teams for the Panthers, a
4x400m and 4x800m at the Georgia Intercollegiate...Helped the Panthers
finish strong with a second place finish in the 4x800.
Indoor Track and Field 2011:
Regular competitor for the Panthers, seeing action in five
meets...Earned fourth place at the Mountaineer Open in the 800m
run...Also ran event in Penn State National and New Balance Collegiate
Invites...Placed sixth in both attempts running the mile, once at the
Clemson Invitational and again at the Orange and Purple Classic...Times
were 5:30.22 and 5:30.94...Participated in the 1,000m event at the New
Balance Collegiate Invite.
Prep:
Graduated from Warren Mott High School in Detroit, Mich., in the spring
of 2006...Earned two letters in track & field, competing in the
middle distance events...Was named all-county in 2005 and 2006...Also
lettered twice in basketball.

Danyel Renee Mitchell was born April 3, 1988…Parents are Percel and
Denise Mitchell...Has five brothers, Karlton, Percel, Terrill, Anthony
and Ken-Dell...Attended Oakland University for one year before entering
active duty in the Air Force, where she served for three years.
