Aree Keller joined the Georgia State Panthers’ beach volleyball staff as a graduate assistant in August 2025, following a standout collegiate career as a member of the Sandy Panthers.
During her time at Georgia State, Keller established herself as one of the program’s top performers, compiling 52 career wins and helping lead the team to back-to-back Sun Belt Conference Championships in 2024 and 2025, along with two NCAA Championship appearances. She defeated 15 ranked opponents during her GSU career and earned All-Sun Belt Conference First Team honors in both 2024 and 2025.
In 2025, Keller partnered exclusively with Ayla Johnson, finishing the season with a 24-10 record, including a perfect 9-0 mark in Sun Belt play. The duo earned the Sun Belt Conference Pair of the Tournament title after going undefeated in the postseason and played a key role in Georgia State capturing its third straight conference crown. Keller and Johnson also earned Sun Belt Pair of the Week honors (April 15) after an undefeated run at the GSU Diggin Duals Invitational. Individually, Keller was recognized as the Center Parc Student-Athlete of the Week on April 13.
As a junior in 2024, Keller posted a 28-10 record—tied for the eighth-most wins in a single season in program history. Alongside partner Lila Bordis, she went 11-0 in Sun Belt matches and earned several accolades, including Sun Belt Conference Newcomer of the Year, AVCA Top Flight Award (2nd Flight), All-Sun Belt First Team, and All-Tournament Team honors. The pair also took home Sun Belt Pair of the Week (April 17) honors and contributed to the team’s continued national ranking inside the top 16 throughout the season.
Keller transferred to Georgia State from the University of South Carolina, where she earned 29 total wins between 2021 and 2022, competing in flights 1 through 4. A native of Orlando, Florida, she played club beach volleyball for Cape Coast, Optimum, and Team Davis. As a junior, she garnered national recognition with honors including AVCA All-American Second Team (2020), AVP Young Gun Award, VolleyballMag.com Fab 30 Underclassmen Watchlist, and selection to the p1440 National All-Star Team.
Off the court, Keller excelled academically, earning President’s List honors in Fall 2024 and making the Dean’s List in Fall 2023.
